The PC Configuration Program allows you to manage multiple application configurations for many RTUs through a single piece of software. The program is underpinned by a SQLite database, allowing for the persistent storage of application configurations and other settings.
The PC Configuration Program allows you to:
Manage multiple application configurations at different revision levels.
Compare one instance of an application configuration to another to easily spot differences.
Upgrade or downgrade an application configuration from one version to another.
Export application configurations in a sophisticated CSV format.
Export application configurations to Schneider Electric's ClearSCADA SCADA host software in a completely automated way. This includes automatic point creation, writing scripts, creating HMI elements and so on.
Import application licenses and download them to a RTU.
Create persistent communications settings that allow you to connect to, and manage, multiple RTUs.
Retrieve and view detailed diagnostic information from applications on the RTU.
Upload and download application configurations to an RTU.
Test an application from within the program.
The PC Configuration Program is organized via tabs along the left side of the screen. Each tab is discussed in detail in later sections.
Note that the PC Configuration Program isn't required to manage SCADASuite applications on the RTU. These applications are fully configurable via Modbus, and can be managed via a local HMI or a SCADA system. See the Applications and Modbus section for details.
