Well Tests

Use settings in this section to create unique well tests. A well test can have up to 3 measurement runs: one for gas, one for liquid and one for water. This section is where you choose the gas composition for the gas run and the liquid product type for the liquid run. The Well Test application will configure Realflo with the specifics of the selected configurations before starting a purge and then the batch.

Before a test is started, the user will select one of these tests to execute. See the Control section for more details.

Test Duration

1. Test Duration
This is the length of this test in fractional hours. When a test is complete, the Realflo batch will be stopped and the Well Test application will move to the Accept or Reject state.
2

Batch Trigger Register

2. Batch Trigger Register
Enter the batch trigger register here. This value must match the configured batch trigger register in Realflo for the Realflo measurement runs that this test is using. All of the Realflo runs that this test is using must use the same batch trigger register.

The Well Test application will start the batch once the purge is complete, and stop the batch once a test is complete. The complete test history will be available in Realflo batch history registers.

Datalog Application Integration

3. Datalog Application Integration
Use these settings for simple integration with the Datalog application. When the Enable Datalog Coil option is selected, the register in the Data Coil Register parameter will be set to 1 when a test is accepted. The register will be cleared by the Datalog application when the logging request is processed.

This feature can be used to log some or all of the batch history, or some other information from Realflo or a ladder logic program, at the moment that a test is accepted.

Gas Settings

4. Gas Settings
Use these settings to configure a gas run. If the Enable Gas option is selected, the Well Test application will configure Realfo with the gas composition that is referenced in the Gas Composition setting after a  test is started.

The Purge Volume Gas setting is used to configure the purge volume for the gas run. The run must accumulate this volume after Reaflo is configured before the batch is started. Set this value to 0 to not have any purge.

The Realflo Run Gas setting is used to tell the Well Test application which Realflo run that it should work with. This is the gas run that will be configured.

If the Enable Gas option is not selected, the Well Test application will not configure the run and purge will also be disabled. Batch history can still be generated, since the Batch Trigger Register can still be tied to a Realflo run via the Realflo configuration.
5

Liquid Settings

5. Liquid Settings
Use these settings to configure a liquid run. If the Enable Liquid option is selected, the Well Test application will configure Realfo with the liquid product that is referenced in the Liquid Product setting after a test is started.

The Purge Volume Liquid setting is used to configure the purge volume for the liquid run. The run must accumulate this volume after Reaflo is configured before the batch is started. Set this value to 0 to not have any purge.

The Realflo Run Liquid setting is used to tell the Well Test application which Realflo run that it should work with. This is the liquid run that will be configured.

If the Enable Liquid option is not selected, the Well Test application will not configure the run and purge will also be disabled. Batch history can still be generated, since the Batch Trigger Register can still be tied to a Realflo run via the Realflo configuration.
6

Water Settings

6. Water Settings
Use these settings to control purge for a water run. If the Enable Water option is selected, then value in the Purge Volume Water must be accumulated before the Purge state is exited.

The Realflo Run Water setting is used to tell the Well Test application which Realflo run that it should work with. This is the water run that willbe used to determine the purge volume.
7

Export to CSV

7. Export to CSV
Select this option to export accepted test results to a CSV formatted file on the RTU. Accepted test results can be found in the "wtResult.csv" file in the root folder of the file system on the RTU. FTP or Telepace Studio can be used to retrieve this file.

New test results are appended to the end of the file. When the file is larger than 65000 bytes, old test results will be removed from the file. This prevents the results file from growing without limit.
