The Well Test application has control registers that accept commands when the application is running. Use these parameters to choose the well to test, start a test, stop a test, accept a test or reject a test.
See the Applications and Modbus tab for some background information on SCADASuite and Modbus. You can always export the Modbus register map for the application to see an up to date list of what control parameters are available, which registers the information is in, and descriptions of the meaning of the information.
All Control Parameters are shown in the screen grab below. Parameters that end with 0 apply to well test control loop 0. Parameters that end with 1 apply to control loop 1 and so on.
To start a test, first set the Well on Test register. The value in this register determines which instance in the Well Tests group will be used when the test is started. Once the Well on Test register is set, send the Start Test command by setting the Start Test register to 1. The Start Test register will be cleared when the command is processed by the Well Test application.
The test can be stopped at any time by setting the Stop Test register. The register will be cleared once the command is processed by the Well Test application.
Once a test is complete, the Well Test application will move the Accept or Reject Test state. Set the appropriate register to issue the desired command. The register will be cleared by the application once the request is processed.
