Pre-Arrival Injection Optimization

The program can automatically adjust the pre-arrival injection rate depending on historic plunger arrival data. See the Pre-Arrival Injection Optimization section for more details on how this works. Use the settings in this group to configure how pre-arrival injection optimization behaves.

Pre-Arrival Injection Optimization
1

Optimization Type

1. Optimization Type
Choose whether the optimize the injection flow rate or the critical flow multiplier here.
2

Base Values

2. Base Values
Use these settings to determine the starting values for the optimization algorithm. These values are reloaded when a gas lift loop is enabled or when a Reset Gas Lift Optimization command is issued.
3

Immediate Late Arrival Adjustment

3. Immediate Late Arrival Adjustment
Select this option if you want the optimization algorithm to immediately adjust the injection set point when late arrival is detected while waiting for plunger arrival. If this option is selected, the injection set point will be increased by the value in Pre-Arrival Adjustment Late.
4

Arrival Counts

4. Arrival Counts
Use these settings to configure thresholds for consecutive plunger arrivals before the algorithm adjusts the optimized value.
5

Adjustment Levels

5. Adjustment Levels
When the number of consecutive plunger arrivals exceeds the associated Pre-Arrival Count, the algorithm will adjust the optimized value. The size of the adjustment is configure here, and depends on the type of plunger arrival. If the plunger consistently arrives early, then the set point will be reduced. If the plunger consistently arrives late, or doesn't arrive, then the set point will be increased.
6

Limits

6. Limits
The optimized value will not be allowed to exceed these values.
