Use settings in this group to synchronize application configurations.

App Details

1. App Details
This area show details about the selected local application, the selected remote application, and whether the configurations are the same or different. Compare is only possible if both selected applications are of the same type and at the same version.

Commit Comment

2. Commit Comment
Enter a comment here where creating a new remote revision or when exporting an application to the remote database. A comment is required before export can proceed.

Actions

3. Actions
Use these buttons to manage configurations.
 
Use the Export Local App to Database button to create a new remote configuration at Revision 1 from the selected local configuration. This copies the selected local configuration to the remote database. This button is always enabled when connected to the remote database.
 
Use the Create New Revision of Remote App button to copy the selected local configuration to a new revision of the selected remote application. This button is only enabled when connected to a remote database and when the selected local and remote applications are the same type and at the same version.
 
Use the Create New Local App from Remote App button to create a new local application configuration from the selected remote application. This copies the remote application configuration to the local database so that it can be modified. This button is enabled when connected to a remote database and a remote application is selected. A specific version of the remote configuration must always be selected too.
 
Use the Overwrite Local App with Remote App button to overwrite the selected local application with the selected configuration from the remote database. This button is enabled when connected to a remote database and a remote application is selected. A specific version of the remote configuration must always be selected too.

Search

4. Search
Enter text in the Local Search box to search all local apps, licenses, communications settings and files. Enter text in the Remote Search box to search all remote apps, licenses, communications settings and files.
 
If consistent naming is used across all of the different types of settings this feature make it easy to find related apps, licenses, communications settings and files.

Local Apps

5. Local Apps
Use this area to select a local application configuration. All of the local application configurations from the Apps tab will appear here.

Remote Apps

6. Remote Apps
Use this area to select a remote application configuration from the external database. When you select a configuration here you normally won't be able to do anything with it without selecting a specific application version from the Revision Information area.
 
The Name field will be populated with the name from the latest revision.
 
Use the Refresh All Remote Apps button to completely reload the list of remote applications and all of their associated revisions.
 
Use the Refresh Selected App button to reload the revisions for the selected remote application. It's a good idea to do this before a check-in so that all revision information is up to date before the new version is added to the remote database.
 
Use the Delete Remote App button to delete all revisions of the selected remote app. This action cannot be undone.
 
The Delete Remote App button will delete all revisions of the selected remote application configuration. This action cannot be undone.

Revision Information

7. Revision Information
This area shows the available revisions for the selected remote application. The Revision Number field is incremented automatically for each check-in. The Created By field is automatically populated with the user's Windows user name.
