Plunger Status Information

Each plunger control loop presents the following status information over Modbus. The 0 at the end of each parameter name indicates that these values are for plunger control loop 0. Each control loop has its own set of status parameters. Values for other control loops end with the control loop number (1, 2, 3.)

Enumerated values include: Control State, Protection Reason, Flow Reason, Shut In Reason, and Arrival Type. For complete definitions of each enumeration, which is specific to the version that you are working with, see the Modbus export file. More details can be found in the Applications and Modbus section.

Example Enumerations for Control State and Protection Reason

Do not rely on this example for enumerated values. Enumerations may change slightly as new control states, protection reasons and other features are added to the program. Always rely on the Modbus export file.

Each plunger control loop also has a set of three contacts to indicate important events during the current control cycle. One contact indicates when Flow Conditions are met, another contact indicates when the plunger arrives and the last contact indicates when Shut In Conditions are met. When an event occurs, the contact will stay high for 5 seconds. These contacts can be used to trigger user logic or for some other purpose.
